Maddy Christian is a standout forward for the Penn State Nittany Lions women's ice hockey team and a junior majoring in biomedical engineering. Hailing from Elk River, Minnesota, Christian had an illustrious high school career at Elk River High School, where she amassed 184 points and earned multiple All-State and All-Conference honors. She was also a semi-finalist for the 2022 Minnesota Miss Hockey Award.
Since joining Penn State in the 2022–23 season, Christian has developed into a key offensive contributor. Her breakout junior year has been marked by clutch performances, including a five-point weekend against Syracuse that earned her the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Forward of the Week award. She also scored pivotal goals in games against Mercyhurst and RIT, helping the Nittany Lions secure important victories. Christian's consistent play earned her a spot on the AHA Second Team All-Conference for the 2024–25 season.
